POT

Pot

Human Pot is a utensil in a kitchen used to cook liquid food. A pot is often made of metal receptive to heat because heat is the important element in human cooking.

Some
other objects that have similar shape to that of a pot can be referred to as a (something) pot. An adjective is often put in front of the word “pot” to make a distinction from a cooking pot, for example, a flower pot.

Human Pot is often seen in kitchen, and there only. Not in front of a house, not on a study desk, not in bed. If a pot is seen out of kitchen, it means that the pot is probably misplaced or neglected. But practically, it is more often than not that a pot be neglected somewhere other than in a kitchen. This is because a cooking pot is used for cooking. And cooking is not considered an important task. Some of expressions such as “it’s only cooking” or no cooking” are often heard in human society. This is because cooking is a task of a servant, a mom, a woman, or a no one. A king, a leader of a family, a millionaire, an entrepreneur, or an average man doesn’t cook, at least not normally. If a man, whatever type of man he is, cooks, it is likely to be a “special occasion”. And at the end of the day, at the end of cooking, cleaning the pot and other cleaning job are left to a woman, whatever type of woman she is.

And the thing is, in human society, men are the dominant over women.

For example, if a man routinely cooks, he probably has a career as a chef. And the food he cooks and his process
of cooking are called “artworks” or often “a master piece”. The man is probably wearing a clean white uniform invented especially for male chefs by other man; it looks really ridiculous on a woman. It can even call “classic” way to cook if the man touches the food he is cooking by his bare hand. Contrarily, if a woman cooks routinely, that’s because she’s doing a housework—one of many others—for men in the house such her husband, her husband’s father, her son, etc. In the occasion that she doesn’t cook, for whatever reason she comes up with she might be blamed for not being a good woman. What she wears during cooking is the clothes she wears to work. And the food she cooks regardless of its great taste and mouth-watering smell is called breakfast, lunch, and dinner for its best taste and richest nutrition, and called “junk” for its being unable to satisfy the turbulent expectations of the eaters.

So, as a representation of a woman position in regards to cooking and human society, a pot, like a woman, is not considered an important object in life (defined by men) but it seems that world can’t spin without it. When a male chef came home from his big cooking show, without a pot his wife would fail to act as a good wife. And the male chef would blame her for not being a good wife. He wouldn’t think for at least a moment of the pot that had gone missing. Because the pot was not important. And he wouldn’t think either that it was him that morning who nonsensically brought it out the garden and carelessly left it there and his wife couldn’t find it.
